Nepal beat Saudi Arabia, enter semi-final as group winner

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr 17: Nepal defeated Saudi Arabia by 6 wickets under ACC Men's Premier Cup on Wednesday at Al Amarat.

Nepal achieved the target of 74 runs by making 75 runs in the loss of 4 wickets with 4 balls in hand.

To register victory Nepali batsmen Gulsan Jha scored 32 runs, whereas Dipendra Singh Airee and Rohit Paudel hit 17 and 16 runs respectively. Similarly, Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Malla scored 2 runs each.

From the Saudi side, bawler Ishtiaq Ahmad took 2 wickets. Likewise, Usman Najeeb and Waji Ul Hassan took one wicket each.

With the victory Nepal gained 8 points and reached the semi-final becoming the winner of Group A.

Hong Kong and Qatar have 4 points whereas Saudi Arabia and Malaysia have 2 points.
