One person killed in shooting with off-duty officer in Washington Park, Ill.

WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (First Alert 4) - One person has died after an overnight officer-involved shooting in Washington Park.
The shooting took place around 3:40 a.m.
According to Illinois State Police, a suspect shot a man outside Club Compound. An off-duty Washington Park officer was working armed security at the club when the shooting occurred. The officer shot the suspect and secured him until other officers arrived.
The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment and the original victim was pronounced dead on scene.
The investigation is active at this time.
