Warning! Herpes Virus Infection May Result in Psoriasis; CBCD Reviews the Medical Evidence

Some individuals may develop psoriasis following infection with HHV-8, a herpes virus. (1)

We recommend that individuals with a human herpes virus infection take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.

“Infected with a Herpes virus? We recommend taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” Greg Bennett, CBCD

Science has shown a link between infection with a herpes virus (HHV-8), and the development of psoriasis. Dr. Samar Samoud, M.D. wrote that “The prevalence of HHV-8 was more than four times higher in biopsy specimens of patients with psoriasis than in an age-matched control group without psoriasis.” (1) Dr. Samoud is from the Farhat Hached Hospital in Sousse, Tunisia. During a study, “skin samples were obtained from 40 patients with psoriasis, ages 12 to 76 and from 40 age-matched volunteers who did not have the skin condition … specimens from 22 of 40 patients with psoriasis (55%) were positive for HHV-8 antibodies.” (1) This means that more than half of those with psoriasis were also infected with a herpes virus. The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that individuals infected with the latent HHV-8 take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. The formula of these natural antiviral products was designed to help the immune system target herpes viruses in their latent form.

The formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD. The studies showed that the formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR is effective against a broad range of latent viruses, including herpes viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with (a latent virus) … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment…” (2) The study authors also wrote that, “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose were chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses.

To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims. Note: Novirin has the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. However, it contains higher quality and more expensive ingredients.

Dr. Elisabetta Trento, PhD and colleagues wrote in a study that “similar to all other herpesviruses, HHV-8 … can be maintained in host cells in a ‘latent’ infection phase.” (3) Dr. Trento is from the Laboratory of Clinical Pathology. The study authors continued, writing that “we think that the strict association of anti–HHV-8 antibodies and HHV-8 viral sequences in cutaneous lesions of patients with LPP strongly suggests that a viral role in the cause of LPP lesions should be considered.” (3)

What treatments are available against the human herpes virus 8 (HHV-8)?

In terms of antiviral drugs, Dr. Corey Casper wrote that “despite significant progress over the past decade in understanding the pathophysiology of HHV-8-associated disease, treatment of these diseases today remains both toxic and incompletely efficacious.” (4) In other words, there are no completely safe and effective drugs against HHV-8 infection.

“We recommend that individuals with a human herpes virus infection take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. These natural antivirals were shown to be safe and effective in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.” – Greg Bennett
